New Meeting Room Fees begin January 1, 2013. Rampart Library District has not changed its fee structure for meeting rooms since the new libraries opened in 2003 and 2004. During this time, the costs for operating the meeting rooms have increased significantly – heating, electricity, water as well as staff time. The tables and chairs have all had hard use and at some point will need replacement. Out of necessity, the District is making a few changes to the fee structure beginning in January 2013. The after hours fee will increase from $15 to $20 for everyone to reflect our increased costs for staffing and the building. Other than that, there are no changes to the non-profit/community groups because of our continued commitment to support these groups. There is a new category of charges for social events such as birthday parties, showers, funerals, anniversary parties, weddings/wedding receptions, holiday parties, etc. The charges for these types of events are very minimal compared to other venues in our community. See below under Meeting Room Fees for new rates as of January 1, 2013. The meeting rooms in our libraries provide an important service to our community. We hope that these changes will insure their continued viability into the future.

Availability of Meeting Rooms

Meeting rooms may be scheduled during hours the libraries are open. However, meetings at the Woodland Park Public Library may be scheduled until 8 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday. There will be a minimum charge of $25 for the clean-up fee, unless the room is left in its original condition.  Meeting Rooms must be cancelled 24 hrs in advance or you will be charged for the full amount of time scheduled.  To cancel call 719-686-8515.

An event planned for the Rotary Terrace at WPPL may have to be cancelled in the event of inclement weather unless the large meeting room at WPPL is also booked as a backup. Both the Rotary Terrace and the large meeting room at WPPL should be booked at the same time if a backup is desired.

Woodland Park Public Library

            Monday: Closed          

            Tuesday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

            Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

            Saturday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

            Sunday: 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.


Florissant Public Library

            Monday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

            Tuesday: Closed

            Wednesday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

            Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

            Sunday: Closed

No meetings will be scheduled on holidays when the library is closed. See schedule for holidays. Holiday schedules and hours of operation are subject to review on an annual basis.

Meeting Room Rental Fees


Fees must be paid at the time the application is submitted. Reservations will not be final until the fee (if applicable) and application have been received and approved. Fees will be waived for use by City departments, government agencies or affiliates and library-affiliated groups.

Per the Intergovernmental Agreements between the Rampart Library District and the City of Woodland Park and Teller County, Rampart Library District will continue its support of community non-profits and activities through modest facility rental fees. The following pricing policies have been developed:

Non-profit/community groups

  • Large meeting room usage charge              $10
  • Rotary Terrace usage charge                         $10
  • Board room usage charge                              $5
  • Tutorial/study rooms usage charge                $2
  • LED projector in large meeting room             no charge
  • After hours charge                                              $20/hour (1/1/2013)


For-profit/commercial groups

  • Large meeting room rental charge               $20/hour or $100/day
  • Rotary Terrace usage charge                         $20/hour or $100/day
  • Board room rental charge                               $10/hour or $50/day
  • Tutorial/study rooms rental charge                 $5/hour or $25/day
  • LED projector in large meeting room             $20 fee
  • After hours charge                                              $20/hour (1/1/2013)

Equipment available at no charge: whiteboard, screen, tables, chairs, podium and sound system.

Audio/visual equipment available: PowerPoint projector LED.

Concerns about the Meeting Room Policy must be presented in writing with specifics to the Library Director. Please provide your name and contact information. The Library District may amend or supplement this policy from time to time and reserves the right to do so.
